I'm in, I think.
edit: Okay I am 90% sure I'm in. Damn that budget cap is tight.

For me, I set up a team first and then when I created the league it asked me to select a team, but there was also a "Create New Team" button. Also in MAYBE? - after working out which part of the html is the code to enter at the end of the first team creation.
It's not showing up as a joined league ... is there an approval process? Does the username need to match? Am I just clueless. No I just missed the little UI checkbox on the team page before the Join button is activated. Warning Newbie alert!!!
They're one-time use for the entire season. What are the "chips"? Are they a limited resource, or can I just pick one every week regardless?
So tight. I was picking my drivers thinking "hmmm, not too bad, looks like it'll be a pretty high scoring affair - I wonder why so many of the top drivers are picked in so few teams", right up until I realised that the constructor selections also have come in under the cap. Oof.I'm in, I think.

Ok, I'm in. Can we change our lineup weekly or am I stuck with that mishmash all season? I see some of the "chips" may allow that. This will be fun![]()
Well F1 drivers are just people so of course they can be catty. But of course you do have to consider the editing of DtS which does increase any possible drama to levels that it may not have been in reality. They had the DtS episode on at work that followed Williams around. First time watching it. Are F1 drivers usually that catty? The one incident they really caught on camera is when they told Piastri he was the #2 car and Lando was smirking the whole time. But the little passive aggressive comments sprinkled in is what got me.
I would add after only watching three episodes, there appear to be more "scripted" interactions that are used to connect narratives. Those scenes could have been shot at any time. I found them jarring because they are not actors and have a hard time playing themselves naturally.Well F1 drivers are just people so of course they can be catty. It definitely is more ... I don't know, polished? The first few seasons were pretty raw, both in terms of the people being filmed, as well as the overall cut and edit of the show. Feels like they're starting to fall into a rhythm.I would add after only watching three episodes, there appear to be more "scripted" interactions that are used to connect narratives. If I remember correctly from last year watching the F1TV crew compete, you see the lineup for each team after the team lock deadline each week.I'm mildly annoyed that I can't spy on anyone else's team.
Not as annoyed as I was every time I was $0.2M short of getting the lineup I wanted though.
High chance of rain on Sunday.
Knowing Melbourne that'll be after a cloudy and gusty morning, followed by a serene and sunny lunch time too. It'll then climb to 35° by the end of the race.View attachment 104961
For the non metric inclined, that's potentially an inch of rain.
The way the BOM do their predictions, when they say this in a forecast you can expect a properly good soaking.
My guess is a wet track at the start (the rain since gone) that will rapidly dry. Who will try starting on slicks?
Heh, you found me. I had to add an extra "A" as team names need to be unique, so I'm not the only one in the system. Looking forward to the weekend, though with potential rain and a lot of rookies, picking a fantasy team (or predictor game results) is pretty tough!Whoever named their team BWOAAHHH?
You got a genuineout of me.
Unless he's not racing, I'm going to have Lewis in the line-up every week, but I may flip flop my most expensive constructor here and there, which would then cause me to have to figure out which one of the other drivers to swap out. I kind of like how simple it is with just one fantasy team to worry about, and being F1, you don't have the multitude of choices to make every week, which is pretty much what turned me off to other types of fantasy leagues.I'm going the British American Racing route and looking to spend the maximum amount of money while collecting the fewest points.
and, now we have the new trailer:
