After partnerships with GM and Sony, here are Honda’s next homegrown EVs

My Ioniq 5 has a glass roof and it's fantastic. But it also has a cover, and is one of the only cars that can cover up the glass roof so it doesn't just cook you while you drive.

Marvel Rivals lifts 100-year “cheating” bans on Mac and Steam Deck players

Extra fun here, Marvel Rivals is listed as "Playable" on Steam, and NetEase even made sure to include Steamdeck controller icons in game. Oops!

$2,100 mechanical keyboard has 800 holes, NYC skyscraper looks

I am miles outside of any target audience for this keyboard. But I really want to touch it.

The Backbone One would be an ideal game controller—if the iPhone had more games

The biggest selling point for me was for Genshin Impact. Playing on the phone with touch controls is rough. But that they demand a subscription to do on screen controller emulation is pretty gross.

Itch.io platform briefly goes down to “AI-driven” anti-phishing report

Their registrar is iwantmyname. It's in the ycombinator comment linked in the article, but not in the article itself. So yeah, maybe iwantmyname isn't a good registrar worth giving money to!

Please ban data caps, Internet users tell FCC

Up here in northern New England is, I believe, the only area in the country that Comcast does not enforce data caps. No 1.2TB limit, no unlimited usage fee, just uncapped Internet. Because they have competition. In related news, I switched to a local fiber provider a few months ago..

Why trolls, extremists, and others spread conspiracy theories they don’t believe

I used to enjoy the old Flat Earth/Hollow Earth stuff and the Moon Landing hoaxes. They felt mostly harmless and, in the case of the former with some thought to how it works you could come up with a good D&D campaign world. But they were no longer fun when you look back and realize that almost...

Also strikers' campsites being blindly fired into from armored trains owned by coal barons. Your labor protections today were written in blood.

Rich CEO of failed hospitals could face prison time as contempt charges advance

A $100k fine is literally nothing in this case, and I doubt he'll see prison time being rich and all that. But I sure would love consequences here!

GTA Online is broken on Steam Deck following anti-cheat update

Wait, I thought there was something else going on with the anti-cheat than an email. All this time Destiny could just play on the damn thing if they'd communicate? Come oooooonnnnnnnnnnn.

Tesla’s Superchargers open up to GM EVs today—adapters needed

If you could ask them about Hyundai, maybe prod them with a needle or three, and then respond personally to me, I would consider it a great favor. Alternately, good luck to you!

Boeing workers strike, rejecting deal that cut bonuses, compromised wage demands

The 25% increase being reported is a really dishonest number. When you factor in the bonuses they lose, it's closer to a 10% increase. I know the bonus was mentioned in the article but the math is real bad for these folks.

Ars Technica system guide: Falling prices are more exciting than new parts

I've been waffling back and forth on upgrading my video card. I have enough PSU overhead to go with a 4060 or 4060 Ti. I know the Ti wasn't reviewed well as an upgrade card, much like the regular 4060, but if I'm coming from a 1660 would it be advised to go for the Ti version? Is it enough of a...
