OSA and Applescript was developed in 1990; it borrowed heavily from their own research into object oriented programming (HyperCard). Apple couldn't follow standards that haven't been widely released (or even invented) yet, so they had to roll their own. <P>Where was java/javascript 10 years ago? I'd be damned if any of your 286/386 PC's were running it.<P>
Win98 ain't bad compared to MacOS.

Man, I'm just not sharp with my history today..<P>I meant to say MacApp & Object Pascal, both of which are OOP / OOD (Object Oriented Design and Programming), and were release by Apple way back in 1985.<BR>
