I work nights, so my personal time is waaaaay different than pretty much everyone else. Went to bed just after 8am. Got up just before noon to take a leak. Couldn’t sleep. Got up 30 minutes later. One pretty heavy workout after that, and it’s now 130pm.

I leave for work at 1020pm. I’m pulling a 12 tonight. So I’m really hoping to get a little more sleep this afternoon…

Almost 4 hours of sleep last night.

Nothing seems to help.

insomnia can be maddening. I’ve been getting 3-4 hrs per night for about 6 months, and that’s with a sleeping pill or supplement. It literally feels like I’m dying a little each day.
In my case, after looking at nearly every other potential variable, I tracked it to anxiety, and went down that rabbit hole, only to open up another bigger one.

Just the fact that you’re not able to wrestle some control over your sleep is going to be anxiety producing - and it doesn’t have to be the overt anxiety attack flavor.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck in sorting it out.

Been tossing and turning since 4AM, it is now 5:04AM and i'm eating cold KFC chicken and coleslaw.
Ah, the breakfast of champions at the passenger holding camp at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

Also the lunch of champions.
And dinner of champions.
And fourth meal.

That KFC was only closed for four hours a day. And outside of a few minutes around 1430? When no in their right mind is walking around outside in the heat in Kuwait? The chicken was cold. Always. Risk the heat outdoors to get hot chicken. Otherwise, cold chicken for you! French fries were hit and miss if they would be hot or not. Coleslaw, when available, was usually tepid. And might just be dry shredded cabbage.

The KFC also added to the general, overarching aroma of feces and french fries that permeated the large passenger holding camp thing at Ali Al Salem.
