quote:
FYI my cursory search turned up this which runs on 6 platforms ...

ChilliSoft is indeed the one I meant.
I didn't realize it had so many platforms; I've only ever seen Solaris reviewed. As it stands, it'll run on AIX (way too expensive, limited to an older version), NT (might as well use IIS, because it's free, and all of the web servers that ChilliSoft ASP uses are either commercial, or buggy, or both), and Solaris (way too expensive -- SPARC only). It has other betas, but that's about it. And it costs money.
HP-UX is available for closed beta. The hardware is too expensive. and it's in beta.
Linux is available for open beta. There's no pricing information, though. Perhaps it'll be viable when it's no longer in beta.
OS/390 is 'currently under development'. The hardware is too expensive.
So, uh, which six platforms is it available for?
And how does it help BeOS become a more viable alternative?
