Has anyone mapped Brand/Model Laptop to Brand Model/Screen?

I believe that relationship is a database many-to-many. If I have an Acer E5 576 laptop, I bet I would find several qualifying replacement screens for that laptop. If I'm holding a particular laptop screen from Benq, I would also bet it would be compatible with several brands and models.

I can always scour eBay, but if someone has created a database listing compatible combinations, my collection of bare screens and laptops with busted screens and I would be very grateful.

The only time I've seen people looking for alternative screens was trying to find compatible screen upgrades -- replacing 768p or 800p screens with 1080p, 60 Hz to 120/144Hz, things like that.

If you've already got the screens in your hot little hands, I guess you could just go with YOLOing it if the connectors and display protocols match.

Screen models can vary even in the same model, they'll source panels from different suppliers, and they'll have the same part number as fare as the laptop maker's spare parts listing goes (or they'll be listed under different part numbers as alternates). Matching those part numbers up to the particular screen models requires some digging, though. I've never seen a 3rd party database set up for this sort of thing.
