Also, I think Trump finally overplayed his hand. He's fucking with the money. Even if they walk this all back today the damage is done, but I simply can't see this actually lasting. The one thing that will get people to break from him is throwing a wrench into the profit making machine.

- That huge pile of debt is the root of U.S. power today: thanks to the borrowing, we can spend far more than we take in, so we can buy anything: we are simultaneously a giant welfare state, #1 military power, and 'global influencer'.
- Other countries need to stop enabling that. And put Trump back in his place.

Donny stated the free trade deal with Canada and Mexico was terrible. He signed that off in his first term so he has defined his trade negotiating skills as bad.
Plus his business highlights include bankrupting casinos. It takes a special kind of business genius to bankrupt a casino and then do it again five more times.
The various statements that have emerged from the orange thing in charge on tariffs demonstrate he has no idea how they work.
