Every time I think this couldn't possibly get any dumber...
I thought it was bad in Episode I, when every single day he said something stupider than he did the day before. Now, in Episode II, he's DOING something every single day that's stupider than the thing he did the day before. And it's not even been 90 days yet...

It's days like this I wish I didn't give up sniffing glue.

Or maybe that I wish the entire fucking administration DID give it up.
Line from recent movie Novocaine:

Cop 1: This is a bad week to quit drinking.
Cop 2: You still drink.
Cop 1: Yeah. But this would be a bad week to quit.

We all think that providing examples like these will somehow wake up these idiots. But there is no reasoning with them. They are in a fascist cult.

No amount of metaphors, analogies, facts, nor logic will make these people stop frothing at their mouth with their pandered hatred.

Fascism has no ideology other than power; and specifically using demagoguery to achieve and maintain power.

They're going to regret giving the penguins tariffs!

I am personally choosing to laugh instead of cry. If this was ever a time for black humor ...

Also, I think Trump finally overplayed his hand. He's fucking with the money. Even if they walk this all back today the damage is done, but I simply can't see this actually lasting. The one thing that will get people to break from him is throwing a wrench into the profit making machine.

Yeah. It's one thing to fuck with Federal workers and diversity programs and aid agencies. The ones who hold the bag are okay with that, it's penny ante shit. It's quite another thing to fuck with the bag. He's fucking with the bag real hard right now. And if there is anything you don't fuck with, it's the bag. I sincerely hope that's enough.

Here's math that's not weird: At what point will the EU, Japan, and China retaliate with the financial equivalent of a nuclear weapon....halting their purchases of U.S. Treasury securities.

  • That huge pile of debt is the root of U.S. power today: thanks to the borrowing, we can spend far more than we take in, so we can buy anything: we are simultaneously a giant welfare state, #1 military power, and 'global influencer'.
  • Other countries need to stop enabling that. And put Trump back in his place.

It appears that they didn't even look at the list. Not even a cursory check.

Or, perhaps, they really are dumb as rocks.
Of course they are as dumb as rocks.

Donny stated the free trade deal with Canada and Mexico was terrible. He signed that off in his first term so he has defined his trade negotiating skills as bad.

Plus his business highlights include bankrupting casinos. It takes a special kind of business genius to bankrupt a casino and then do it again five more times.

The various statements that have emerged from the orange thing in charge on tariffs demonstrate he has no idea how they work.

This administration is, if nothing else, a wild demonstration of all the bad things that happen when Boomers use technology, taken to their logical extreme.
The 20-somethings running DOGE are, if it's at all possible, even stupider in their mis-application of technical tools. Malevolent incompetence is, sadly, independent of generation.
