Umm, what?Logitech's wireless Pop Mouse can be a cute secondary mouse for power users.
An "emoji button" sounds like the most desperate "how do you do fellow kids" thing to put on a mouse.

Just about every mouse on the market these days has more than two buttons, and you can program any of them to do anything you like. Crappy resource-hogging Logitech software not required.
It's just the default action. Since the button isn't labelled, that shouldn't detract from its usefulness. An "emoji button" sounds like the most desperate "how do you do fellow kids" thing to put on a mouse.

To me it just seems fun, and you can do other things with it.
I don't want an Emoji mouse.
How about a proper UNIX mouse with a real third button and no stupid wheel?

You don't need the software to use Logitech mice. Unless your want their "features", I just want a mouse that works, lasts on the battery (Logi do last longer with the Energizer Lithium battery), and can work with multiple computers via BT. I am glad for Logitech products since Apple's mice are just the DUMBEST design. I mean, ok its Rechargeable...but you CAN'T use it while its charging! Lays on the side. Useless. Atleast the MS mouse I have, and the Logi Vertical-ergo mouse can be plugged in, charge and used.
A mouse should not need any support.because Logitech supports their old products for basically forever which is a good reason to buy them.
They are far too similar for comfort. I bought a pebble on Logitech's good name, I wouldn't risk it again. When I first saw the Pop Mouse, I thought, "Oh boy, not another Pebble-shaped mouse."

Some of us like color. What? Why is this a thing, and why is it being talked about here of all places?
Who uses a "secondary mouse"?
No, really. Who uses a secondary mouse?! Do you mean perhaps a travel mouse? I ask because I do have two mice, but they serve entirely different purposes; one is for home (there is only ONE of those), and the other is dedicated to living in my travel bag, so I don't have to remember to pack the (bulkier) home one when I want to game on the laptop.
Also, my travel mouse was like $13 with tax, not $40. This thing is PRICEY for a "secondary mouse."

It's funny to me how, in your first sentence, you question the need for a secondary mouse and go on to describe how you yourself have and use a secondary mouse.
Do you see a lot of reviews of gimmicky mice here? That's not really the content that drives return traffic here. What? Why is this a thing, and why is it being talked about here of all places?
I'll bite.
In your mind, what should be talked about "here, of all places"?
50/50 on whether there's a response.

Honestly, one of the things I really like are these super-saturated colors. I’ve always been a fan of Apple’s Product RED devices and the recent trend towards pastels (or worse yet, Jony Ive and his gray palette) has been off-putting. If it were larger, I’d definitely consider it but given the ergonomics, alas it wouldn’t work for me.
