Does the number of people killed by them in your country not bother you at all?

Also, I live 27 miles from town in the country. I have to depend on the county sheriff's. At night there may only be 4 or 5 officers on duty. How long do you think it will take one of them to get to my house if a criminal kicks in my door at 2 a.m. and is armed with a knife, a bat, a hammer, a pipe etc.? I will tell you. After he kills me. When seconds count, the cops are minutes away. I will defend myself. I will not become a statistic. A victim.

65% are from suicide.. If you knew anything about the subject you would know that 2 to 3 million crimes are stopped every year by people with legally owned guns. Hands and fists kill more people than all rifles combined. So do hamners and other blunt objects. Same with knives. Out of all crimes committed with a gun, less than 1% are done with a rifle. 85% of "mass" shootings are done in GUN FREE ZONES. And the definition of a "mass" shooting is 2 or more people. More people are shot to death in one weekend in Chicago by illegal hand guns. The definition of a school shooting is a shooting 1,000 yards from a school.

Last month a man opened fired in a Texas church. He was killed by a man with a legally owned gun in 6 seconds. Case after case a law abiding citizens defend themselves with a legally owned firearm against a criminal.

An AR15 is NOT an assault weapon. The AR stands for armilite rifle. It was NEVER a military weapon. It's a sporting rifle. I hunt rabbit with it. The bullet is small. No bigger than a .22 cal. Just a pointed tip instead of rounded one and with a bigger cartridge.

Out of all gun deaths only 475 are from rifles. Rarely is a legally owned firearm used to commit a crime.

More people die from an opioid overdose than are killed by a gun. Same with car accidents. Tobacco and alcohol kill more people every year.

Wherever you live, you have been lied to.

You're not going to win this argument. I have seen the bullshit that other countries "news" and governments spew about the gun "problem" in the United States. The facts are on my side. I can keep throughing more at you but since you don't live here and only been fed lies all your life, you will still feel the same.

Lol go look at the FBI crime statistics. Or did just go on line and find some website your government made? Or another NGO website? Like the U.N. You don't have a clue about our country. And why do you care? What business is it if yours? And you won't continue the discussion because your 100% wrong. And like a typical anti gun person. No mention of crime statistics or stats of worse killers.

Lol still no answer to a simple honest question. Well swerved yet again. You won't answer because the honest answer doesn't fit your bullshit dogma.

You should try opening your eyes sometime. I'd like to think you'd find it enlightening. But you won't :hilarious:

      Goodbye.

Anyone being killed bothers me. What bothers me more is 70,000 people a year being killed by big pharmaceutical companies that are only out for profit. Why aren't you bothered by that? Or is it just 35,000 from guns? 65% of which are suicide. I'm also bothered by the homeless crisis in our country. I can continue but give been brainwashed all your life to believe guns are bad. And you willingly give up your God given right to protect and defend yourself.

My favorite things to shoot are bottles. I shot so many bottles when I was a kid the pile of glass was 10 feet high lol lol. I bet that pile of glass is still behind my brothers house. With trees growing through it I’ll have to stop in and see one day I haven’t been back there in over 35 years

I have an old pressure tank from my well I replaced. I hang targets on it. I work in a plastics factory and when we change colors we end up with a big 3 or4 inch thick 2 or 3 foot chunk of plastic I use as a target. Depending on the type of plastic, it will stop a .45 a .223 even a .50cal. But mostly though the big blob of plastic is destroyed in a shirt time.

Here in Iowa we can buy tanerite without a permit. That's fun to blow shit up with. Just have to be 18.

My next gun is going to be a nice shot gun. I don't have any neighbors close by and none behind me so no worries. All the neighbors I do have shot also. I have a total of 6. Closet is 200 yards away. In the summer every day one if us is shooting. Sometimes 2 or more.

I have only ever been shooting at the range. I like it but I prefer archery honestly. It’s way more satisfying to hit the bullseye with an arrow.

Very cool seeing a lady that owns a gun. Had a lady friend that was a big gun nut. She would come over with her two hunting rifles and her glock. To bad she moved out of state. She owned a small a 12 acre farm but the farmer around her sold out to a developer. With in a year there were 20 houses around her.

I just enjoy the stress relief of it all and the challenge of target shooting.

I have a very difficult time with bows. It's on the release I loose control. One of my older brothers had a compound bow growing up. He was pretty good at it. He and his good friend did lots of hunting. I've tried many times as an adult but I don't know if it's my wrist or elbow that moves.

It just takes a lot of practice. It’s hard to get the control at first but eventually it becomes second nature.

I haven't tried in a few years. A guy I work with is a bow hunter. In fact I just told him a few months ago if he wants to stop over some time this summer and do some target practice I'd like him to give me some lessons. Show mevwhatvim doing wrong. He goes deer and Turkey hunting.

I have a hand held pigeon launcher. It's a pain. Hard to get both height and distance. Takes practice. I am not good at shooting skeet. Don't lead the pigeon enough. And then I have to go pick up all the clay pieces from the feild. Don't want the farmer to get pissed at me.

Thank You, I am with you. I will If I have to, with in the Oregon Law. The new proposals from the gun grabbers makes your weapon inaccessible if you need it quickly. I do need more range time, but a lazier light will help with that. Well said young man.

yes shooting firearms is fun, great way to relieve some stress and enjoy the outdoors , I have trained a few of my female friends in shooting and they have become responsible gun owners , and shooters. trained one of my friends daughters as well - she was top of her class in hunter safety with my assistance and became a very safe and competent hunter and recreational shooter , even got her hitting clay pigeons with a .410 bore shotgun - the excitement in her eyes when she hit her first one was priceless . Her favorite weapon to fire was the Kalashnikov - she absolutely loved it.

Correct. A few years ago a buddy of mine had a girlfriend from Japan. She had two teenage boys. Lol The first thing he told them was he was going to take them to shoot guns. Lol He picked up 1,000 rounds of. 223. He was a small arms instructor in the army for 20 years.

These two boys were so excited. Of course they didn't want to spend a hour learning safety and instruction. Lol The look on their faces when I brought out my AR. Lol After about an hour of slow shooting and aiming practice, these two boys did a great job for never even holding a gun. And she must have taken 30 or more pictures. Lol They did ok with the 380. It's a much harder gun to use. Very small. Fits in my hand from finger tip to heel of palm.

I always find it amazing to see the reaction of people after their first time shooting a gun. Especially ones that were against them. When they get over the fear of a gun and relax, they have a totally different opinion. They have fun. I have had a few that wanted to do it again. One I knew became a gun owner. Lol
