It’s objectively a good phone—good enough for the vast majority of people. It has a nearly top-tier screen (though it clocks in at 60Hz, while some Android phones close to this price point manage 120Hz), a camera system that delivers on quality even if it lacks special features seen in flagships, strong connectivity, and performance far above what you’d expect at this price.
This analysis is objectively incorrect and even dishonest.

The 16e provides a mediocre experience (for 2025 standards) compared to mid-range Android phones of today, not only at this price point but significantly cheaper. You don't need a flagship today to get more capable camera systems.

The benchmark part (and the way it's emphasized in the review) is irrelevant and misleading, it doesn't have a real impact on user experience, unlike the 60Hz screen.

Unless one is locked in the Apple ecosystem, there is not much reason for anyone to buy this phone.
