Happy New Year!

The bad news is that there will be no new game news this week. The good news is, that I am off celebrating the new year, which, obviously, is the reason for the bad news. But the best news of all is that we have another year of games to look forward to. Some will be so bad that we'll want to use the CD like Xena's chakrum to kill the people who made us waste our money. Some will simply make us sigh with their affecting mediocrity. But a few--the ones that we do all this for, the ones we spend thousands of dollars building gaming rigs to play, the ones that make us give up sleep for two weeks, the ones that deprive us of social interaction--these games will make us stand up and proudly proclaim, "I am gamer, hear me roar!"

Have a happy, healthy, game-filled new year everybody!

And please let me leave the last Game.Ars of 2001 by saying this: There are things in life that are too painful to remember but too important to forget. Peace to the world!
